ADDO ELEPHANT PARK – Well worth the two-hour drive to visit this world-famous game park which is home to over 600 elephants.

 

BATHURST – Especially the Pig and Whistle pub, one of the oldest inns in the country. You will also find a Sunday Craft market and many interesting galleries.
On the way, visit the Giant Pineapple, and take a drive to Waters Meeting Nature Reserve to view the Kowie River’s Horse Shoe Bend.

 

NATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL – This very popular festival is held in Grahamstown at the end of June each year.

You can buy most of what you need from the supermarkets in Port Alfred town centre, or drive up the road to Rosehill Mall, a compact modern mall with supermarkets, gift & clothes shops and a few restaurants.
